Revive the Sunnah. Feed a Family.

Honour the legacy of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) this Eid al-Adha by sharing the blessings of sacrifice with families who need it most.

This Eid al-Adha, Carry On the Legacy of Ibrahim (AS)

Every year, as the Day of Arafah passes and the takbeerat of Eid al-Adha rise across the Ummah, millions of Muslims fulfil one of the most beloved acts of worship in Islam — Qurbani.

It is the sacrifice that Allah, in His Mercy, has preserved for us from the time of our father Ibrahim (AS) — a living reminder that true faith means trust, submission, and the willingness to give for the sake of Allah.

At Human Care International UK, we are honoured to carry your Qurbani to families whose Eid would otherwise pass without meat, without joy, and without hope. From the villages of India and Pakistan, to the war-weary homes of Yemen and Sudan — your sacrifice becomes their celebration.

“It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah, but it is your piety that reaches Him.”

— Surah Al-Hajj, 22:37

What is Qurbani?

Qurbani (also known as Udhiyah) is the sacred act of sacrificing a livestock animal — a sheep, goat, cow or camel, during the days of Eid al-Adha, the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th of Dhul Hijjah.
It is a Sunnah Mu’akkadah (emphasised Sunnah) of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and according to many scholars, wajib (obligatory) upon every adult Muslim who meets the Nisab. The meat is divided into three blessed portions:

  • One-third for your family
  • One-third for relatives, friends and neighbours
  • One-third for the poor and needy

By giving your Qurbani through HCI UK, you entrust us to fulfil that final, beautiful third on your behalf — ensuring that not a single family in our care is forgotten on the day of Eid.

Why Give Your Qurbani With HCI UK?

100% Sharia-Compliant

Every animal is selected, inspected and slaughtered according to authentic Islamic guidelines. Our scholars and local partners verify every step — from the health and age of the animal, to the moment of sacrifice, to the fair distribution of its meat.

We deliberately partner with communities where Qurbani rarely reaches — the displaced, the elderly, widows and orphans, and Muslim families in rural and conflict-affected regions.

Your Qurbani is carried out during the official days of Nahr (the three days following Eid al-Adha), so your sacrifice is accepted in its rightful time, in shaa Allah.

Your donation is an Amanah (trust) — we treat it as such. We work only with vetted local partners, document the process, and ensure not a penny is wasted.

Displaced by ongoing conflict, millions of Sudanese families are facing devastating shortages of food and shelter.

Qurbani FAQs

According to the Hanafi school, Qurbani is wajib (obligatory) upon every sane, adult Muslim who is not travelling and who possesses wealth above the Nisab on the days of Eid al-Adha. According to the other three schools, it is a strongly emphasised Sunnah. Either way, missing Qurbani when one is able to perform it is highly discouraged.

Yes. You may give one share for yourself and additional shares on behalf of your parents, spouse, children, or even deceased loved ones. Many scholars consider giving Qurbani on behalf of the deceased as an act of ongoing Sadaqah Jariyah.

A cow (or camel) may be shared between seven people — each one-seventh portion counts as one complete Qurbani share. Sheep and goats count as one full share per animal.

Qurbani must be performed during the days of Nahr (the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th of Dhul Hijjah). To ensure your Qurbani is carried out in time, we recommend donating before the start of Eid al-Adha — ideally before the Day of Arafah.

Yes. You will receive an email confirmation when your Qurbani has been carried out, in shaa Allah.

Qurbani itself is not eligible for Gift Aid (as the meat must benefit the donor’s share in the eyes of Shariah). However, you can choose to add a separate Sadaqah donation alongside your Qurbani, which can be Gift Aided if you are a UK taxpayer.
